Back Rib Pain

Back Rib Pain can sure be painful. And some 80% of people face back pain at some time or other in their life.

Back pain happens because of many causes. It may be because of poor posture, overwork or sudden injury. Sometimes the back pain is experienced with chest pain also. That time it may be examined whether it is back rib pain.

Rib back pain's symptoms are pain when we sneeze. Ribs are connecting to the backside vertebrae with ligaments. When these connections are not tight or they are weakened then person may face the pain which is because of movement of ribs. This is known as Slipping rib syndrome.

Rib back pain is felt in the below the shoulder line. Pain in chest is also experienced which causes difficulty while breathing. If it is acute then it can be misunderstood as heart attack.

Causes of rib back pain are common: working with the computers for long period every day without any change of activity. The sitting posture is not correct and getting injury in accidents or sports.

It is difficult to bear such sharp pain. The rib back pain causing as a result of bad habits of sitting, posture can be treated easily. First the medication for immediate relief is given and then the regular exercises with massage, electric hot and cold applications are helpful.

If you are facing the vertebrae dislocation problem then it will take time to heal it. For these same treatments of hot and cold applications, massage with exercises is recommended. Sometimes bed rest is also advised.

In any case the patient should not be given too many medicines. Drugs like aspirin give temporary relief from pain but they are unable to remove the basic cause of the pain. The pain killers also have some side effects on other function of the body. People are tempted to use these drugs when they face rib back pain. But it is not good thing to do because it affects your body adversely.

The immediate action should be to go to doctor and verify the cause of rib back pain. Sometimes it may not be related to back pain. It is something else that needs more attention.

The doctor will ask you many questions about the rib back pain such as when did it start, was it there always. He asks you to describe the pain, the intensity, recurrence, pain felt in other parts of body. He may physically examine and ask about the exact location of the pain. You have to tell whether the pain is increasing at the time of breathing deeply, whether you had an injury to the chest.

For many people, the sudden onset of chest and upper back pain is an extremely frightening experience. It can begin as a dull pain and rapidly grow to feel like something is sticking through your chest. In order to understand why this occurs, it is helpful to have a basic understanding of the muscular structure of the chest and upper back. There are three main muscle groups in your chest and upper back that are responsible for this pain you feel. They are the trapezius, the pectoralis major, and the latissimus dorsi. The latissimus are the pair of large, flat muscle groups running vertically down either side of your back. They connect the upper arm to the lower back, allowing you to rotate your arm. The pectoralis major, or pecs, are the large muscles that connect your arms to your breastbone. The trapezius muscles are two large, triangular muscle that connect your shoulder blades to your upper back. They help to move your shoulders and arms.

An exercise that can help relieve this type of chest and upper back pain is the shoulder raise. Standing upright and straight, raise your shoulders as far as you can with your arms hanging at your sides. Do not lower you shoulders, and begin rotating them towards your back. Do this ten times, then allow your shoulders to return to a relaxed position. Do this exercise twice a day to help relieve your chest and upper back pain. Having someone perform focused massage on these three muscle groups can also help with your chest and upper back pain. Swimming or some water aerobics can be beneficial as well, exercising your arms and chest without putting excessive of a strain on them.

But remember, any cheat pain can be heart related. It is better to be safe than sorry, so go talk to a doctor if you experience any kind of chest pains. If it is not heart-related, the doctor should be the one to make that determination.

Lower Left Back Pain is common among people and can be caused by a number of reasons. Improper use of the back muscles lead to Lower Left Back Pain. Joggers, who jog on cemented tracks or on roads, expose their backs to greater risk of injury because of higher intensity of shock. Lower Left Back Pain can start with injury to the left leg, hip or back. The muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, nerves, discs and bones are under constant strain when we are mobile. Our turning, twisting and bending movements also put the lower back under strain. Regular back stretching and strengthening exercises will keep your back supple and strong.

Infection of the left kidney and the sciatica nerve of the left leg can also cause Lower Left Back Pain. If you experience sharp pains in the left side of the back, consult a physician to diagnose your condition.

A doctor may need to study your habits while working in office and at home. The final diagnosis can be done with the help of Chest X-ray and Bone Scan.
